About The Position

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Health & Community Services Division. The Systems Unit office is responsible for processing and scanning documents to support staff handling eligibility for Medicare savings, Long Term Care, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Supplemental Nutrition Assistant Program, Medicaid Health Coverage for families, children, blind, disabled individuals, and Healthy Montana Kids coverage. This Document Processing Technician prepares documents for scans, copies, or emails. Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of copying and scanning equipment.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and provide effective and professional customer service.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and keep documents secured.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, including using spreadsheets, word processing, database, email, internet, and other computer programs.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One-year general experience preparing documents or experience working in an office environment.
  • Equivalent combinations of training, education, and work experience may be considered on a case-by case basis.
