Role description: Arcadis is seeking a Document Control Specialist to support water infrastructure projects in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, Contractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure the organized, accurate, and timely management of all project documentation. You will play a critical role in maintaining document integrity, supporting efficient communication, and ensuring compliance with client and project requirements throughout all phases of design and construction. Role accountabilities: In this position, you will oversee the full lifecycle of the Automated Meter Infrastructure (AMI) project documentation and ensure all records are properly received, logged, distributed, stored, and retained. You will establish and maintain document control processes, support project teams in accessing required materials, and ensure adherence to client and federal standards. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to coordinate with diverse teams on a fast‑paced infrastructure program. The candidate should manage, reduce, and evaluate field and analytical data, prepare reports, and assist Project Manager (PM) with AMI tasks. It is expected that the candidate exhibiting ownership of delegated tasks, ensuring the coordination and delivery of on-schedule and on-budget work. The candidate should possess a logical approach and the ability to work in simultaneous tasks. Supports document workflows including receiving, logging, formatting, distributing, and archiving documentation. Provides a programmatic document control and tracking system for correspondence, notices, invoices, warranty documentation, and all other project records. Establishes and manages processes and procedures for tracking document approvals, revisions, transmittals, and status reporting across project stakeholders. Interfaces with project development processes by preparing and maintaining structured document packages, supporting constructability reviews, and coordinating document updates. Oversees document control standards related to schedule management, cost management documentation, and contractual recordkeeping requirements. Reports documentation metrics to project managers and stakeholders, including trend tracking, compliance reporting, and forecasting of documentation needs. Supports project reporting activities such as documentation, financial recordkeeping, and consolidated project reporting packages.
