The QA Document Control Quality Specialist III maintains, develops, and supports the Jabil Gurnee Quality Document System, driving efficiency improvements in document approvals while ensuring compliance with Jabil requirements, CFR 820 Part 11, and ISO 13485. The role also manages records and oversees weekly and monthly quality metric reporting.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of minimum experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, preferably in document control; 5+ years preferred
  • Experience working within regulated industries and supporting audits by regulatory bodies.
  • Strong ability to work professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with suppliers and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for approximately 80% of the working day.
  • Demonstrated integrity, ingenuity, and alignment with Jabil’s mission and values.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to support cross‑functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced expertise in document control systems and change control processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485, CFR 820 Part 11, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting audits, customer requests, and quality system documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Modifies existing procedures, forms, and other documents using available systems and tools to ensure the Quality System documentation remains compliant.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to develop process improvements.
  • Execute training related to any implemented changes by Doc Control.
  • Support quality training sessions as a site SME (Subject Matter Expert) in Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Change Control.
  • Support audits by preparing required documentation based on agendas provided.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Perform weekly and monthly Quality metrics and develop best practices to convey the data in a meaningful way to employees.
  • Support Bi-Annual Quality Management Review by working with the Quality Engineers, Quality Control and Quality Manager to compile data.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned periodically as the department and organization evolve to meet the customer and market needs.
