The Workforce Development team plays a key role in supporting Micron’s growth by enabling team members to learn, develop, and succeed. We partner closely with the business to build strong training and documentation foundations that scale with major expansions in Idaho and beyond. Reporting to the Workforce Development (WFD) Manager of Training and Documentation Administration (TDA), you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of Micron’s expansion efforts in Idaho supporting the Idaho US expansion and later the NY expansion. This is an exciting time to join a team making a real impact on Micron’s future! As a Training and Documentation Specialist, you will help ensure Micron’s teams have clear, accurate, and accessible documentation and training resources. This role is central to how knowledge is captured, managed, and delivered across the organization. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, support critical systems, and contribute directly to workforce readiness during large-scale expansion efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in technical documentation
  • Expertise with advanced documentation authoring tools such as MadCap Flare or FrameMaker

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of workforce development or training experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience managing SharePoint lists and libraries
  • 5 years of experience supporting a high-volume manufacturing or production environment, preferably in semiconductors

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve technical documentation and training systems using best-known methods and automation
  • Create, edit, and archive documents and visuals following established standards and templates
  • Administer controlled documentation systems, including access management and periodic reviews
  • Manage on-the-job training certifications, records, and materials within the LMS
  • Analyze documentation and training data to develop reports and insights that support decision making
