Are you seeking an internship where you can truly grow and make a meaningful impact? Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR), a leading not‑for-profit community mental health organization and SAMHSA‑designated CCBHC, is seeking a doctoral-level Student Intern to join our Autism and IDD Counseling Center for Adults (AICC-A). In this rewarding role, interns provide individual, family, and group therapy to adults with autism and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team—including case managers, psychiatrists, and vocational specialists—to support clients with complex needs and socioeconomic challenges. Interns will conduct clinical intakes, maintain documentation, engage in professional development, and partner with caregivers to ensure wraparound care. Ideal candidates bring prior therapy experience, a passion for neurodiverse populations, and a commitment to advancing equitable mental health services in under-resourced communities. Schedule. 16-20 hours/week over 2 days (depending on what is negotiated between supervisor and staff based on need and practicum requirements).
