About The Position

The Dock Coordinator oversees daily dock operations to ensure efficient freight flow, space use, and on-time departures. This role coordinates between teams and manages workflow tools to align dock activity with production schedules.

Requirements

• Experience in warehouse, dock, or transportation operations preferred
• Familiarity with workflow and visibility tools (e.g., Four-Kites)
• Strong coordination, communication, and decision-making skills
• Understanding of dock-to-loading processes and production timing
• Ownership and urgency

Responsibilities

• Manage dock schedules, door assignments, and real-time updates
• Use work release tools to balance production flow and dock capacity
• Release pick operations to stage products for timely loading
• Monitor dock activity to prevent congestion and idle time
• Serve as main point of contact for carriers and coordinate with internal teams
• Track carrier ETAs using transportation visibility tools (Four-Kites preferred)
• Identify and resolve dock-related issues promptly; escalate when needed
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate documentation
