This Dock Associate position involves preparation work for merchandise delivery and basic warehouse functions, with occasional overtime hours required.
Requirements
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- No certificates, licenses, or registrations required.
Responsibilities
- Unwraps and assembles furniture at the assigned dock.
- Cleans and inspects merchandise for errors and defects.
- Touch-up merchandise as needed
- Re-wraps merchandise for delivery
- Stages merchandise for delivery truck loading
- Assist with Customer Pick-ups (CPUs)
- Unload Receiving inventory containers and trucks
- Completes other duties as assigned by warehouse leadership team
