The Department of Corrections is seeking a compassionate and organized Peer Support Coordinator to lead efforts that promote the wellness, resilience, and overall well-being of DOC staff. The Peer Support Coordinator provides proactive outreach, crisis response, and confidential assistance to staff following critical or high-stress incidents. The position develops and delivers wellness and resilience programs, coordinates peer support activities, and partners with leadership to integrate wellness principles into daily operations across facilities and field offices. Candidates should have experience in corrections, human services, behavioral health, or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to respond with empathy and professionalism in sensitive situations. Knowledge of wellness practices, crisis response, and peer support principles is preferred. This position requires the ability to work independently and travel statewide as needed.
