The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is looking to hire a Highway Safety Program Manager for the Staunton Region, within our Highway Safety Office! This position reports to the Deputy Director of Highway Safety Programs and is responsible for managing statewide traffic safety initiatives, training operations, stakeholder coordination, and grant funding. The incumbent oversees program delivery, develops training content, fosters collaboration with law enforcement and community partners, and ensures compliance with federal and state guidelines. The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making to improve highway safety outcomes while representing the agency in high-profile interagency efforts and public forums. This is a remote position with required travel within the Staunton Region. Applicants must live near or within the Staunton Region to be eligible. DMV, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles.
