About The Position

Madera Toyota Chevrolet is seeking a detail-oriented and organized DMV Accounting Clerk to support our dealership operations. This role is responsible for processing DMV-related documentation, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with basic accounting functions. The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic accounting knowledge and data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred (not required)
  • Previous DMV, title clerk, or dealership experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Process and submit DMV paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Verify vehicle documentation for completeness and compliance
  • Maintain organized records of titles, registrations, and related documents
  • Post deals and assist with basic accounting entries
  • Reconcile DMV transactions and resolve discrepancies
  • Communicate with DMV offices and internal departments as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting department
