About The Position

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) Location: Oklahoma City, OK Hours: Monday-Friday 0800-1630 Essential Functions: Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment Responsibilities Assists professional staff in routine technical tasks such as: preparation of reagents, specimen processing, loading instruments and send outs. Other duties to include filing, temperature checks, stocking supplies, answering telephone calls, etc. Receives specimens into the laboratory using Cerner and QLS LIS systems. Follow employer policies; work with fellow employees in a professional, productive manner. Qualifications Required Knowledge: Good computer skills, customer service skills, and knowledge of medical terminology. Required Experience: High School/GED required. Previous laboratory experience preferred. Special Requirements: Ability to maintain a professional, courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress. Teamwork with fellow employees is a must. Keyboard skills are important. Good customer service skills, professional appearance, and attitude. Able to work any day including weekends and holidays; able to flex hours and work overtime for other shifts as needed. Physical and Mental Requirements: Position requires data background with abilities to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour Works in a biohazard environment, practicing good safety habits Able to sit or stand for long periods Handles multiple tasks simultaneously and works in a production environment
