About The Position

Position would be a direct report to Incident Operations Center (IOC) Director. Assist IOC director with providing statewide training required for Management/Program Reviewers. Provide statewide training when new procedures specific to Management Review Specialist (MRS) are introduced/changed.Identify any trends/issues with Management Reviews that need addressing. Provide additional training to address those trends/issues.Assist with Review/Close Reports in IOC Queue. This consists of comparing a checklist to the completed reports to ensure all required documents have been submitted; all involved parties have been interviewed; report findings are justified; then closing report in the Central Communications Center (CCC) database.Supervise Operations Review Specialist and Government Operations Consultant II with the following duties for the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Central Communications Center (CCC) and the IOC. Complete a quality check of the management/program reviews report in the CCC system to ensure compliance with established protocols and to ensure that data fields are completed and accurate. Review each incident reported to the CCC based on Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (FDJJ) 2020 Appendix B and follow up with the program area or program/provider. Present at the daily determination meeting and make recommendations for incident processing based on established policies and known trends. Respond and assist program area in making changes in CCC system. This incumbent will act on the behalf of the IOC Director. Assist IOC analysts by completing statistical data gathered from the CCC database. Perform other duties as requested. Travel is required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of investigative techniques used by the management review employees.
  • Knowledge of Management Review Specialist (MRS) and Incident Operations Center (IOC).
  • Ability to conduct fact-finding research and interviews and take statements in order to properly train new personnel that will conduct investigative reviews.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to conduct operational reviews to ensure efficiency of operations and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data.
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
  • Ability to use deductive reasoning (reviewing statements, interviews, recordings, and evidence in order to reach a legally sufficient finding.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.

  • Professional or non-professional experience can substitute on a year for year basis for the required Associates degree.

  • At least one year working within the Department’s Incident Operation Center.
  • Experience working in the Central Communications Center (CCC) database.
