About The Position

The Divisional Human Resources Generalist position is responsible to the Divisional Human Resource Director. The purpose of this position is to provide HR/Systems support to the Divisional Headquarters and the Corps.

  • AA degree
  • Experience in human resources (2 years required)
  • Knowledge of Wage and Hour Laws

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or Human Resources
  • Professional Certification in Human Resources

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily HR support and services to all assigned locations (ZONE 1 -SF Corps /DHQ/ Service Ext)
  • Coordinate the assignment, tracking, and monitoring of required HR training
  • Prepare and review the weekly Human Resources agenda for Command Finance Council meetings
  • Distribute approved Command Finance Council decisions to Corps
  • Submit required paperwork for employment approval from field locations
  • Oversee the pre·hire and onboarding processes for new hires
  • Handle all terminations and status changes
  • Assist with employment verification requests
  • Maintain accurate records in HRIS system
  • Communicate with stakeholders to address HR•related inquiries and follow·up
  • Answer various inquiries from leadership and employees on benefits, evaluations, and payroll
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of HR events
  • Responsible for Workers Comp Administration for the Golden State Division (GSD)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HR-related regulations
  • Travel to various Corps locations for onsite HR support
  • Responsible for Recruitment and Posting of open positions within your assigned locations
  • Work closely with assigned locations to oversee the Kettle Season process, including training, background checks, payroll matters, and other related tasks.
