The Division CIO is a strategic IT business partner and advisor across Resource Industries manufacturing facilities. The CIO is accountable to provide technological solutions aligned with the business strategy and objectives. They will partner across Caterpillar to rapidly modernize manufacturing with state-of-the-art technology. They will lead a large global team of managers, individual contributors, along with matrixed leadership to COE teams providing technical services. Leader is actively involved in developing aligned business solutions, prioritizing resources, negotiating contracts, and providing guidance. Leader is critically positioned in the organization to ensure the IT strategic and operational priorities create and protect enterprise value.

Requirements

  • Strategy development & execution: Experience leading, developing, socializing, and executing IT strategies and roadmaps in an extraordinarily complex environment.
  • Relationship management : Collaborating and managing partner and peer relationships to achieve business outcomes by leading through influence and direct accountability in a matrixed environment.
  • Customer-focused : Strong business and financial acumen with a “customer back” mindset.
  • Software engineering & development : Designing and building digital and technology solutions that strengthen the core business and pioneer the future with expanded offerings that grow services.
  • Data & information enablement: Unleashing the power of data insights, AI and GenAI to manage the business, improve business results and outcomes.
  • Operational support: Supporting global, large scale manufacturing operations and aftermarket business models in a matrixed support structure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Talent Management : Adept at leading and inspiring global, multi-sourced teams to deliver high quality, transformational capabilities.
  • Marketing & Communication: Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
