Job Overview The Division Vice President drives top-line sales and profit performance, with a goal of exceeding plan targets. They create a high-performing, engaged organization by ensuring superb execution of merchandising priorities, delivering outstanding customer service, developing selling capabilities, and fostering customer loyalty.

Requirements

  • Leadership & People Management: Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop Store Management Teams; foster a high-performing, engaged organization; empower and develop talent; build partnerships across all levels of management; strong negotiation skills.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Ability to develop and implement short- and long-term plans; prioritize and manage multiple initiatives; monitor workflow to achieve district goals; maximize sales and gross margin productivity.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in expense management and inventory control to drive profitability and performance.
  • Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering high standards of customer service, selling capabilities, and customer loyalty; create a customer-centric culture across the division.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; effectively communicate objectives and priorities to teams, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence: Experience overseeing day-to-day store operations, ensuring adherence to regional standards, and driving consistent execution of merchandising priorities and company initiatives.
  • Technology Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access to support reporting, analysis, and communication needs.
  • Integrity & Professionalism: Commitment to exemplifying the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and business ethics.
  • Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and profitability targets through effective short- and long-term planning, expense management, and inventory control.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high standards in customer service and selling capabilities across the district.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Management Teams, partnering with Human Resources on talent acquisition and management.
  • Drive, communicate, and oversee the execution of strategies for events and daily store operations, ensuring adherence to regional operational standards.
  • Maximize sales and gross margin productivity per square foot.
  • Provide leadership in implementing company initiatives, clearly communicating objectives and priorities to the team.
  • Manage the talent development process, actively coaching and counseling store teams.
  • Recruit and cultivate talent by fostering a culture that emphasizes retention, career development, and succession planning.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.
