About The Position

Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare believes that each person deserves the opportunity to embark on a new journey to reach their optimal level of health. Odyssey’s network of behavioral healthcare services provides support to individuals throughout their journey by combining compassionate, evidence-based treatment with concierge-quality amenities. The Division President provides strategic leadership for a multi-site integrated system of behavioral healthcare programs operating programs along a continuum of care. Position collaborates with interdisciplinary executive leadership teams to vision and achieve immediate, mid and long-range goals. The Division President has overall responsibility for the clinical, fiscal, and operational success of the West division. Position shall have operational oversite across multiple treatment locations and is responsible for ensuring clinical quality and program integrity. Position directs strategic and day-to-day operations, ensures sound fiscal operations, and promotes positive relationships with referral partners and payors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Requires a minimum of seven (10) years’ of multi-site executive leadership experience, preferably within behavioral healthcare.
  • Requires valid State Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Business, Social Work or closely related field of study is strongly preferred.
  • Current or previous experience as a behavioral healthcare executive with demonstrated operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the governing body to develop and implement clinical programs and operational objectives that promote program growth and expansion in response to changes in the market; achieving and exceeding West Division budgeted EBITDA targets.
  • Participates in the development of the annual strategic plan for division with enterprise partners and in alignment with the overall strategic direction, incorporating long terms goals and vision.
  • Collaborates with Business Development and Strategic Growth leadership and team members to drive service line expansion, DeNovo growth targets, and ADC targets.
  • Inspires confidence through effective communication, priority setting, strategic alignment, and attention to detail; creates and sustains an organizational culture and environment that is focused on fulfilling operational objectives in alignment with the treatment philosophy, vision, and core values.
  • Leads organizational development within the division to include career development, succession planning, employee recognition and retention.
  • Ensures achievement of business objectives through day-to-day operational, financial, clinical, and regulatory oversite of all designated locations.
  • Accountable for division financial results; leads division budget planning, financial oversight, and resource management to meet the needs of clients while maximizing resources and minimizing waste.
  • Ensures the timely submission of operational reviews and key performance metrics; interpreting metrics and proactively adapting operations and strategy, as needed.
  • Promotes professional growth and development of staff throughout all levels of the division, championing effective teamwork, critical thinking, continuous quality improvement, and action orientation.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory licenses, accreditations, payor contracts, state and federal laws.
  • Ensures the development, implementation, and enforcement of all safety initiatives, policies and procedures, including patient rights.
  • Champions regular quality improvement initiatives throughout all designated locations.
  • Establishes a welcoming environment and strong culture of customer service throughout the division and within individual facilities.
  • Promotes systems of communication and collaboration between Admissions, Business Development, Utilization Review, Finance, Clinical, and direct care teams; removes barriers.
  • Leads and promotes active communication with department and facility leaders around all actual or potential problems or issues that could result in risk exposure or customer dissatisfaction.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to ensure accurate interpretation and fulfillment of position functions, responsibilities, authority and relationships.
  • Ensures facilities are appropriately staffed; ensuring client safety and quality care standards are consistently upheld.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectively and openness to others’ views; gives and welcomes feedback; puts team success over own interests.
  • Manages difficult or emotional client situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests and meets commitments.
