About The Position

The Division Order Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate setup, maintenance, and distribution of revenue generated from oil and gas production. This role maintains the integrity of mineral ownership records by reviewing title opinions, ownership changes, and supporting documentation to ensure revenue is paid correctly and timely. The Division Order Analyst partners closely with Land, Legal, Accounting, and Operations teams to resolve ownership discrepancies and process transfers of interest. This position plays a critical role in supporting accurate revenue payments throughout the life of the well.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years land industry experience, 3 being in Division Orders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Intermediate knowledge of Division Order practices and policies and can apply that knowledge directly to your daily responsibilities
  • Proven examples of identifying solutions to division order related issues and suggesting process improvements to increase effectiveness
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven analytical skills in reviewing documents to summarize information
  • Proven research skills with regard to reviewing multiple data sources to find specific information

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working within Land systems and applications such as: SAP, Quorum, Drilling Info and Service Now
  • Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to and work with all levels of the organization

  • Strong attention to detail and flexibility regarding workload and priorities

Responsibilities

  • Analyze leases, contracts, title opinions, operating agreements and legal documents to calculate owner’s division of interest
  • Analyze title documentation and update/transfer record title ownership internally
  • Analyze and process accounting directives
  • Research new operator setup information
  • Analyze and resolve quality control reports
  • Research and resolve discrepancies related to division orders received for internal company owners against system and prepare for signature by management or escalate for review by others
  • Cure title defects as required
  • Research and resolve complex quality control reports, decimal discrepancies and title issues
  • Analyze acquisitions and divestitures and perform all necessary division order analyst work
