Requirements

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in utility vegetation management, at least two of which include positions as a Supervisor or Area Manager, or have related experience.
  • Have a degree in a business related field, Forestry, or, Arboriculture. Industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree on a case-by-case basis.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and implement appropriate plans and actions to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to coordinate, direct, supervise, and evaluate management personnel, including a team of up to, but not limited to, 500 employees
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with an aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Ability to read and interpret necessary reports and financial statements, including but not limited to, profit and loss (P&L) statements and job costing reports.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Willing and able to work extended hours.
  • Able and willing to travel by air or ground.
  • Must have the ability to operate a personal computer and work with applicable computer software programs.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English

  • Lift under 50 lbs.; repetitive and set motions (keystroking, sitting at length)

  • ISA Certified Arborist preferred not required.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible and accountable for a large strategic business unit of Lewis
  • Collaborate with other Lewis departments to streamline processes and improve overall performance
  • Develop your direct and indirect subordinates
  • Smartly and strategically grow your business year-over-year.
  • Consult with the Human Resources department on employing, dismissing, disciplining, developing and promoting personnel.
  • Develop, foster, and improve customer relationships, driving the Lewis customer experience
  • Develop and foster relationships that ensure high employee morale.
  • Improve and maintain the divisional safety performance. Drive the safety culture of the division through leadership engagement, action, and accountability.
  • Participate in trade associations and organizations involved in vegetation management Market appropriate vegetation management services to utilities in conjunction with the regional vice president.
  • Maintain open lines of communication and a good working relationship with all members of the Operational Management Group.
  • Promote the reputation of Lewis Services as a Brand Ambassador to all internal and external personnel.
