Requirements

Minimum 5 years with Wood Doors, Hollow Metal Frames and Commercial Door Hardware
Knowledge of contract documents
Experience with large projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong reading comprehension
Attention to detail
Strong time management and organizational skills
MS Word and Excel
Current knowledge on codes, products and design changes for doors, frames and finish hardware

Nice To Haves

DHI certification a plus
Knowledge with Specworks, Comsense, Protech or similar industry related software preferred

Responsibilities

Collaborate with outside sales, operations manager, and customers to understand the project
Solve complex issues in a timely manner
Coordinate with operations for delivery of material to the job site
Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
Document all aspects of any given project through sales orders, purchase orders, order acknowledgements, submittals, emails and/or other forms of correspondence.
Work with suppliers and vendors for product information, lead-times, and shipping details
Purchase material for assigned jobs. Select vendors, negotiate best price for purchased material and have knowledge of vendor pricing
Take Sales calls and receive orders
Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
Create submittals and transmit them to customers
Create “take-offs” on doors, frames and hardware
Create machine sheets and other design specs for frame, door and hardware products as necessary
