About The Position

The District Sales Manager for Bay Insulation Systems is responsible for traveling across Iowa and Northern/Central Illinois to develop and grow new business. This role is heavily focused on prospecting and winning customers in a highly competitive market. The DSM will work directly with post-frame builders, commercial metal building contractors, insulation companies, and metal building manufacturers while representing both Bay Insulation Systems and EXPI DOOR Systems Inc. The right candidate must reside in Iowa. With support from four Bay manufacturing plants located in Minneapolis, Green Bay, Kansas City, and St. Louis, along with a strong inside sales team, the DSM will focus on delivering fast turnaround times, competitive freight options, and reliable service to secure new accounts. This is not a maintenance-focused territory role; it is designed for someone who thrives on winning new business, moving quickly, and taking market share from competitors.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of sales experience required.
  • As a condition of continued employment, employees working in a position requiring driving as an essential function of the job, are required to maintain a valid license, and an acceptable driving record as per our insurance provider’s requirements.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and Excel programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Metal Building construction knowledge and experience, preferred.
  • A college degree, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and presents quotes.
  • Timely follow up on all sales leads.
  • Acquire and process customer orders.
  • Manages customer questions, complaints, and needs.
  • Promote Bay Insulation Systems and products throughout the district.
  • Develop prospective customers and build strong relationships.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of accounts.
  • Manages expense reports and territory travel plan on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Make in person sales calls to customers via office and job site visits.
  • Ability to travel overnight 50% of the time.
  • Ability to have a home office.
