This is a field based position, requiring residence within the territory and driving to multiple accounts. Travel outside the territory is also included. The global Neuroscience organization advances care for complex neurological and spinal conditions, combining innovative technology, data-driven insights, and deep clinical expertise. The Neurovascular operating unit specifically focuses on treating stroke, brain aneurysms, and vascular disorders through endovascular technologies. The District Manager supervises Territory Managers, Associate Territory Managers, and Clinical Specialists within their assigned district, aiming to achieve sales objectives. This role involves hiring and developing new team members, working with them regularly, and reviewing their performance. The District Manager is expected to demonstrate High Performance Practices and key competencies to meet and exceed objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience; or Advanced Degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant sales and leadership experience.
  • Reside within the territory.
  • Drive to multiple accounts throughout the region.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Active vehicle insurance policy.
  • Comply with all credentialing requirements at the hospitals or clinics they support.
  • Possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of Medical Device experience with 5 years of Neurovascular or Neurosurgery.
  • 3+ years of Sales Management experience.
  • Experience in leading teams in a complex work environment. e.g.: Medical sales marketing or hospital service line functions, demonstrating ability to direct and influence sales or procedure volume growth.
  • Preferable clinical experience in the interventional suite, hospital environment, or emergency medical response.
  • Experience in medical sales, preferably focused on interventional procedures.
  • Communicates with external suppliers, customers and / or vendors, involving advanced negotiation and / or presentations in order to manage relationships and close sales.
  • Ability to present information clearly and effectively and in front of large audiences.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker.
  • Ability to adapt and change within dynamic corporate and business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and sells Medtronic's Neurovascular products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors, surgeons, nurses, and key opinion leaders.
  • Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Neurovascular products and/or services.
  • Provides clinical and technical support during cases and informs the clinician of patient treatment options.
  • Promotes education of the company's products and/or services.
  • Conducts and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors’ activities.
  • Develops and/or implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
  • Assesses customer needs and feedback regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products and communicates to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.
  • Establishes effective relationships and collaborates with other departments (Marketing, Finance, HR, Sales Training, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
  • Supervising Territory Managers, Associate Territory Managers, and Clinical Specialists within their assigned district.
  • Achieving sales objectives for that district.
  • Representing Medtronic in accordance with Company policies and AdvaMed guidelines.
  • Hire and develop new Territory Managers, Associate Territory Managers, and Clinical Specialists in their sales territory.
  • Work with Territory Managers, Associate Territory Managers, and Clinical Specialists in their sales territories on a regular basis.
  • Review individual Territory Managers, Associate Territory Managers, and Clinical Specialists' performance.
