About The Position

The Learning Experience is seeking an experienced District Manager to support and guide franchise childcare centers across the Charlotte region and surrounding markets. This field leadership role focuses on protecting brand standards, driving operational excellence, and partnering with franchise owners to improve enrollment, quality outcomes, financial performance, and team development. The ideal candidate brings strong early childhood leadership experience, understands licensed childcare environments, and thrives in a high-travel, relationship-driven role. Candidates with a combination of early childhood education, franchise, and multi-unit leadership experience are strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Early childhood education experience in a licensed childcare environment
  • Minimum of 3- 5 years proven experience as a multi-unit operator, district leader, or field-based manager
  • Strong understanding of profit and loss statements and operational performance metrics
  • Exceptional interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent project management, business writing, and reporting skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting tools
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including occasional weekends or holidays
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 85 percent
  • Reliable transportation required; fixed and variable car allowance included in compensation

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a field leader and brand ambassador, ensuring centers consistently meet operational, quality, and brand standards
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, franchise agreements, and state childcare licensing regulations
  • Act as a trusted business consultant to franchise owners, providing guidance on operations, staffing, enrollment growth, and financial performance
  • Analyze enrollment trends and profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Execute district strategies to improve enrollment, retention, productivity, quality outcomes, and brand awareness
  • Train and communicate new initiatives, systems, and programs while driving engagement and adoption
  • Partner with Marketing to evaluate enrollment trends and implement regional action plans
  • Support centers with licensing, marketing, hiring, training, and new center openings
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with franchise owners, center leaders, and corporate partners
  • Research and share best practices, performance data, and insights to support talent attraction and customer retention
  • Proactively identify challenges, resolve issues, and escalate concerns when appropriate
  • Continually improve performance across the assigned district and the broader organization
