About The Position

The District Manager serves as the senior operational leader and primary client contact for all security services within the NYC District. This role provides strategic direction, operational oversight, financial management, and coaching to ensure service excellence, client retention, and sustainable year-over-year growth. The District Manager leads a portfolio of accounts supported by a dedicated Field Manager, Field Supervisors, and an HR Specialist. This leader is responsible for driving operational efficiency, workforce scheduling effectiveness, budgeting performance, employee engagement, and overall district profitability while upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; equivalent executive-level industry experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in security operations or comparable management roles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security operations within diverse client environments.
  • Proven financial management and budgeting experience.
  • Strong proficiency in web-based platforms, workforce management systems, and business reporting tools.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Advanced planning, organization, and workforce scheduling expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership for the NYC portfolio, driving growth and profitability across commercial real estate, financial services, higher education, and Fortune 500 clients.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve client retention and year-over-year revenue growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through client relationship management and industry networking.
  • Evaluate industry trends and recommend proactive business strategies.
  • Oversee daily operations across all assigned accounts to ensure compliance with company and client policies.
  • Ensure efficient workforce scheduling to optimize coverage, control overtime, and maintain budget alignment.
  • Monitor staffing models to ensure appropriate deployment levels that meet client requirements and financial targets.
  • Implement best practices and quality assurance initiatives to drive operational excellence.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor management staff to strengthen leadership capabilities and performance accountability.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives aligned with company culture and inclusion standards.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, development, succession planning, and retention of high-caliber staff.
  • Ensure continuous professional development and compliance training across the district.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor district budgets to ensure profitability and fiscal responsibility.
  • Analyze financial reports, labor costs, overtime trends, and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain service delivery within established budgetary constraints while achieving quality objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen in forecasting, expense control, and margin management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and partnership.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and hold all direct and indirect reports accountable to the same standard.
  • Address escalations proactively and implement corrective action plans when needed.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to client expectations and company policies.
