About The Position

The District Manager supports the success of multiple retail locations by providing hands-on leadership, coaching, and operational guidance. This position serves as a developmental step for Store Managers who have demonstrated strong performance and leadership potential. The District Manager works directly with store teams to strengthen operations, build leadership capability, and ensure consistent and positive customer experience across the assigned district. The District Manager will promote a positive work environment that celebrates our vision, mission and core values of Teamwork, Respect, Uprightness and Empowerment in every action and interaction with team members, donors, customers, management and persons served.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of four to five years of experience in retail management with a strong record of performance as a Store Manager or equivalent leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve results.
  • Strong understanding of store operations, including merchandising, production, and customer service.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, including merchandising, production flow, staffing, and customer engagement.
  • Knowledge of how to deliver a consistent and positive shopper, donor, and internal team experience across all locations.
  • Ability to analyze reports, interpret performance data, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Skilled in coaching, training, and developing others to reach their potential.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Commitment to upholding company values and promoting a positive team culture.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Power BI, with the ability to create and interpret reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and daily support to Store Managers in achieving sales, production, and customer service goals.
  • Conducts regular store visits to observe operations, assess performance, and provide coaching on execution and team development.
  • Partners with Store Managers to review financial and operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Promotes teamwork, accountability, and recognition to build strong and engaged store cultures.
  • Supports recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts to ensure each store is staffed with capable and motivated team members.
  • Works closely with Store Managers to maintain operational excellence in merchandising, production flow, safety, and visual presentation.
  • Ensures consistent application of policies, procedures, and company standards across all stores in the district.
  • Collaborates with leadership and training teams to identify and prepare high-performing employees for advancement.
  • Assists with community engagement and store-level initiatives that enhance the organization’s reputation and mission impact.
  • Communicates regularly with the Director of Retail regarding store performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
