About The Position

The District Corporate Account Manager for Univar Solutions is responsible for all growth and account maintenance of account(s) assigned. Employs a consultative sales approach that focuses on building a long term, value-based relationship with account(s), penetrating them for further business and improving the margin they build while reducing the time and costs in handling them. To further identify and gain new business opportunities at existing, prospective and/or new multi-plant accounts. The role is LOB agnostic and accountable for growth of all product lines and service offerings. This role will implement corporate and district strategies specific to the account(s) they manage. A successful candidate for this role will be an effective communicator and accountable for meeting deadlines and delivering financial results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent business experience
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing experience
  • Strong dedication to teamwork and collaboration, paired with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and consultative selling skills
  • Adaptable and demonstrates strong work ethic with the initiative to work independently
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient in negotiation skills, adept at defining mutually beneficial solutions while maintaining integrity and achieving goals

Responsibilities

  • Improve Univar Solutions’ position within each account using consultative, value selling at all levels within the account
  • Sells deep into account(s) by developing multiple contacts at various levels of management and functional groups
  • Coordinate at all levels within Univar including corporate account management, district leadership, local sales, product management, supply chain and operations to ensure overall customer satisfaction
  • Implement and communicate on short and long-term customer strategic account plan (SAP’s) in alignment with leadership
  • Drives the multiple LOB sales strategies around products and markets to profitably grow and maintain customer share while providing a seamless experience for the customer(s)
  • Brings in appropriate technical support to expand scope of business to include commodities, specialties, and services regardless of LOB
  • Provides monthly, quarterly reports on account growth, key issues, resolution, and project timelines
  • Handles pricing based on direction from Corporate Account Manager
