Requirements

1-3 years experience performing utility locates
Experience locating gas
Ability to perform quality, accurate locates
Fluency in Ticket Management Systems
Comprehensive knowledge of local 811 processes/laws
Excavation
Operator Qualifications
Natural gas/CFR 192
Stop Work Responsibility
Damage Prevention
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to perform work at multiple sites
Assertive, clear communicator
Familiar with locate documentation requirements, including informative photos
You must be comfortable working in all weather conditions. Due to the physical nature of the work, Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Locate and flag utilities: Gas
Navigate to multiple locations daily
The ability to pass the Operator Qualification modules and other training requirements in a timely fashion.
Enforce strict adherence to required terms & conditions as they relate to the safety and construction of utilities, adherence to approved plans, specifications and restoration methods.
Paid training will be provided to ensure projects and client specific deliverables are met.
All aspects of the job are to be performed with an emphasis on safety.
Build and maintain a working knowledge of federal, local, and company compliances.
Field observation including verifying and documenting federal, local, and company compliance.
Complete inspection reports daily. All documentation is completed electronically on a company provided iPad including Daily Reports, Pictures, Schedules, Time, and Expenses.
Work with detailed plans and procedures, tracking quantities and material; verifying the accuracy of mapping and as-built documentation.
Inspection of installation of natural gas pipeline activities including Excavation, installation, and backfill/restoration.
Construction observation includes all aspects of installation, from damage prevention to potholing and installation to restoration.
Required to work onsite with contractors as a representative of the facility owner (third party inspection).
Excellent communication skills and prefer a background in utility construction or associated fields.
Typical work hours range from 40 to 60 hours per week, 5-6 days per week. There are no limits to your growth and how you can progress with your career at WSB.
Travel may be required for up to 50% of the time.
Must be less than 50 miles.
