About The Position

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments or equipment to meet customer expectations which involve receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. Performs manual and/or clerical duties that may utilize various systems / WMS involved in receipt or preparation of materials for shipment. Performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. Coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned distribution area. Maintains compliance with relevant local, country and international guidelines. May have responsibility for fulfillment administration and processes]. This position reports to the Operations Manager and is part of the Distribution Team located in Hebron ,Kentucky and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a Lean environment. Coordinating with other Supervisors to build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work volume forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering to balance labor across the facility. Communicating policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when required Performing root cause analysis using the problem-solving process and 5 Why's to develop a logical solution Providing performance feedback and development opportunities to direct reports. This should be done by holding monthly 1 on 1 meetings with associates using the Danaher standard form.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 8+ yrs experience, Bachelors with 5+yrs, or Masters with 3+ yrs experience
  • 2+ years experience leading a team in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Oracle
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications
  • Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Experience.
