Hours - Monday to Friday 3pm -11pm What you’ll do: This position will coordinate shift sanitation activities to ensure that all processing and packaging equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to Gorton’s SSOP’s. Coordinate and communicate sanitation activities in the plant with the other Sanitation Coordinators and the Production Supervisors daily. Ensure that employees responsible for sanitation activities are adequately trained, with documented training records and an up-to-date training matrix maintained Perform inspection of cleaned equipment Audit, refill and organize chemicals, supplies and soaping machines Assist and improve batter and product changeovers Works with QC Technician on startups and batter sampling Overtime will be required as needed to ensure smooth transition between shifts Coordinate with the Sanitation Manager to order supplies Verify accuracy and completion of documentation Perform housekeeping throughout work area Utilize Lockout/Tagout when tasks require Perform additional duties as needed

Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in decision making.
  • Demonstrate proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures as it applies to the equipment you are operating.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate positively with all levels and departments.
  • Understanding standards and measurements.
  • Math and computer skills.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (after a training period) – if required by your role
  • Lift up to 60 pounds
  • Stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours
  • Abide by company GMP and PPE policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
