As a Distribution Services Supervisor, you’ll be the front-line leader ensuring smooth operations at our Distribution Center. This role combines hands-on expertise with strategic oversight, supervising Shipping Clerks and office staff while actively performing key shipping functions. You’ll be the go-to problem solver, communicator, and process innovator—keeping freight moving and customers happy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Knowledge of SAP Manufacturing software; SAP Order processing systems; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate, train and coach employees to encourage optimum performance and engagement.
  • Good planning and priority setting skills.
  • May be required to work long hours and weekends.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Keep Operations Running Smoothly - Monitor & Manage: Ensure all office activities—such as processing paperwork for deliveries and shipments—are completed accurately and on time.
  • Stay Organized: Verify paperwork for correctness and maintain electronic filing systems for easy access and compliance.
  • Drive Performance & Productivity - Optimize Practices: Review and refine working methods to maximize efficiency while ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain Records: Compile and manage essential reports, logs, and documentation to keep operations transparent and efficient.
  • Manage Resources & Supplies - Control Inventory: Oversee office inventory and order supplies as needed to keep the team equipped and productive.
  • Lead & Collaborate - Partner for Success: Work closely with the Distribution Services Manager and other supervisors to implement new initiatives and continuously improve service to the Distribution Center.
  • Team Development: Manage workforce performance, identify training needs through regular appraisals, and foster a culture of growth and excellence.
