About The Position

Distribution Supervisor at Boston Scientific’s US Tier 1 DC. Leading multifunctional teams in the Outbound department functions picking, packing, shipping and special handling operations to service international and domestic customers with medical devices. Coordinating with other departments internal and external to the DC ensuring products are available to be shipped. Driving process improvement and optimization of shipping flows. At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of leadership experience in an operational or distribution environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of distribution experience
  • 8 years of medical device distribution experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel up to 5%, as required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher level of education
  • Experience working with Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Experience with SAP enterprise systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations and communication

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate cross-functional teams to consistently achieve and exceed established operational, quality, and productivity goals
  • Analyze, review, and report departmental performance metrics to drive data-based decision making and continuous improvement
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service levels
  • Ensure high levels of quality accuracy for all outbound orders, maintaining compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
  • Apply Labor Management Models to effectively plan, allocate, and optimize workforce utilization while controlling labor costs
  • Monitor material usage and implement strategies to drive material cost savings and inventory efficiency
  • Participate in the development, execution, and sustainment of operational projects, including process enhancements, system improvements, and cross-functional initiatives
