Maintaining the central supply storeroom by ensuring stock is put away correctly, delivering items to internal departments accurately, and tracking receipts of product on purchase orders are specific details of the job a receiving clerk will perform. The receiving clerk will haul incoming freight from the dock into the receiving area to unbox, put away, and deliver to the designated end user. The receiving clerk will oversee all freight delivered to ensure packing slips are turned in, damages are reported to the responsible buyer, and the organization of temporary freight to remain onsite to keep the loading dock clear. On the weekend rotation and as needed, the receiving clerk will maintain sub-inventory supplies that are inventoried daily, replacing needed items. This includes adjusting PAR levels, ensuring chargeable items have charge stickers attached and completing necessary paperwork. Communication skills are essential to proving efficient customer service to the departments we visit daily. There is coordination among all positions within our department to keep us running smoothly. This position will be involved in monthly and annual inventories for our central supply storeroom and sub-inventory storerooms. Cross training to cover other areas within the department as needed for vacation/sick coverage will be included in the position training.
