About The Position

The Distribution Center (DC) Team Lead is responsible for directing merchandise processing tasks to DC Floor Associates. The candidate will coordinate with the DC Floor Supervisor for staging, tagging, and splitting inventory by store, driving the accuracy and efficiency of the DC Team Associates. Flexible schedule is required in order to support the needs of the business, which includes weeknights and Saturdays as needed..

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old to apply
The ability to lead and motivate a team
Extraordinary organization and planning skills
Excellent communication and 'people' skills
The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
Self-motivated and time management skills
Flexible availability; occasional weeknights until 8PM, Saturdays
Ability to stand and be on feet for long periods of time
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift/push/pull up to 50lbs with or without accommodations

Nice To Haves

Retail distribution experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Ensure proper training of new team members without set time and motivate assigned team members
Delegate assignments and ensure floor associates are working effectively and efficiently
Provide guidance, feedback, coaching, or training as needed
Inspect product for damages, loss, or defects and notify DC Supervisor of findings
Coordinate processing discrepancy resolution with appropriate departments
Adhere to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures
Ensure product is stored accurately and safely
Maintain a clean work area, free of safety hazards
Operate dolly and cart to move product and boxes
Stage product to workspaces in order to keep teams flowing and productive
Must learn and be able to use basic computer skills
