About The Position

Job Summary: Ensure daily warehouse functions are done safely and productively to enable shipping to the customer on time. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are followed, and productivity standards are met. Supervise the work of warehouse employees. Working safely is part of culture and is a condition of employment. Essential functions People Train warehouse personnel on all appropriate SOP’s. Initiate and manage corrective actions. Maintain and ensure accurate time keeping system and time-off requests. Update attendance tracker for any early/late/unscheduled absences. Ensure breaks and lunch are taken at the scheduled time and overtime is used within guidelines. Knowledge of our attendance policy and procedures per our company handbook. Development of team members using development plans and goal setting. Interview using approved recruiting SOP. Safety & Environmental Responsible for 100% Behavior Based Safety (BBS) Program participation of shift and to perform daily review of BBS submissions. Address concerns with urgency. Daily inspections, equipment checklists and sign-off of hazardous waste storage areas. Observe and correct safety and security violations and enforce Regional Distribution Center SOPs. Document near-misses and incidents using approved incident reporting procedures. Lead daily Stretch and Flex program, followed with shift meeting. Ensure housekeeping assignments are followed and warehouse cleanliness maintained and organized. Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed. Communicate all incidents to safety management and department’s email group. Inventory Assist with Physical Inventory preparation. Understanding of WM system and utilization of cycle counting process Inventory cycle counts are competed as per schedule and root cause counter measure activities are complete and reported. Documentation required for large variances. Investigate, fix, and address discrepancies. Operations Assign, train, and supervise the daily work activities of warehouse staff. Delegate and prioritize warehouse activities based on business needs. Monitor daily work and drive productivity to standard. Provide appropriate coaching/corrective actions to eliminate gaps in productivity. Proficient use of email communication, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Workday, and SAP. Maintain communication with the appropriate teams (e.g., Sales/traffic/planners, etc.) regarding late departures or service failures during their shift. Identify equipment needing repair. Report and take appropriate action. Support and maintain automation where applicable. Ad hoc Project assignments EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION Educational attainment equivalent to high school education. Considerable inventory management and warehousing experience, including work in a lead capacity is required.

  • Educational attainment equivalent to high school education.
  • Considerable inventory management and warehousing experience, including work in a lead capacity is required.
  • Considerable knowledge of inventory control, ordering, stock rotation, and product storage methods.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and techniques.
  • Communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Regional Distribution Center administration practices.
  • Knowledge of safety and security practices.
  • Knowledge of tinting, shaking, and forklift equipment set up, operation, and trouble-shooting procedures.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck, rider jack, wrapper machine, order picker, computer, tint machine.
