Distribution Center Receiver- Unloaders
About The Position
Position Summary Inbound or Outbound loading and unloading of furniture for deliveries, and staging product using hands dollies, or pallet jacks in the warehouse. Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Support the Inbound / Outbound operation Receive shipments, check for damages and sort stock for distribution in the store Validate the accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments Communicate and report overages, shortages, and damages Communicate with internal business partners on product status Keep up with the movement of merchandise Unload trailers with hand dollies Moving furniture with dollies and pallet jacks Use radio frequency equipment to communicate with the team and leaders Conducts operations in compliance with OSHA standards Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety Maintains a clean work area, free from debris on warehouse floor Meet company standards for productivity Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of experience in in distribution or supply chain.
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
