Distribution Center Delivery Driver
About The Position
Make daily deliveries of materials and supplies as routed using a district delivery truck. Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and assist in moving and storage of materials as required. Maintain accurate records of items picked up and delivered. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, equipment, and work area per applicable regulations and district standards. Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in safe operating condition and schedule routine maintenance and repairs. Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc. Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately. Perform other duties as assigned by the Distribution Center Manager or his designee. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Clear and valid commercial Texas driver’s license (Class A or B - unrestricted).
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- One (1) year experience driving commercial vehicles.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Ability to work independently.
