The Distribution Associate is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments or equipment to meet customer expectations which involve receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. Performs manual and/or clerical duties that may utilize various systems / WMS involved in receipt or preparation of materials for shipment. Performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. Coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned distribution area. Maintains compliance with relevant local, country and international guidelines. May have responsibility for fulfillment administration and processes. This position reports to the Distribution Supervisor and is part of the Distribution shipping team located in Richmond, IL and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Execute core operational tasks such as order picking, truck audits, pallet wrapping, process labeling, parcel preparation, ice wrapping, stocking inventory, and receiving goods with documentation verification. Apply DBS processes (e.g., kanban) to maintain efficiency and consistency, recognize and escalate operational issues promptly, and safely set up, operate, and shut down equipment or machinery. Perform essential production and material‑handling duties by following SOPs and safety guidelines, operating basic tools under supervision, conducting visual inspections, reporting defects, and maintaining clean, organized work areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Bring at least one year of warehouse experience in areas such as shipping, receiving, stocking, or order picking, along with the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform in a physically active environment that requires standing or walking for up to 90% of the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with Hazardous Shipping Certification (for shipping) and forklift experience (for picking, receiving, and stocking) are strongly desired.
