This position is located in Frederick, MD. Role is a member of the Integration Team supporting a recently acquired business now situated as the Filtration and Separation Division. As Manager for Distribution and Logistics Integration, you will lead the integration of the newly acquired Filtration and Separation (FSD) business into Thermo Fisher Scientific’s global supply chain network. This role will ensure seamless operational continuity, improved efficiency, and superior customer experience. The focus of the role will evolve through the stage-gate phases of integration beginning with initial transition services through integration planning, and execution. Post integration, the incumbent will apply knowledge gained throughout the integration to manage operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in logistics and distribution, including direct experience with business integrations or acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing or migrating logistics/distribution systems (ERP/WMS/TMS).
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and managing external providers (3PLs, carriers, vendors).
  • Deep knowledge of logistics and distribution processes across transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in project management, data analysis, and performance reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Process mapping (as-is and to-be) using MS Visio
  • Ability to facilitate integration activities across multiple facilities and geographies.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale logistics integration projects and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical approach with demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to drive business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, resilience, and problem-solving skills in complex or ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and track KPIs for integration progress, cost synergies, and service levels.
  • Integrate FSD into global and regional distribution & logistics performance management framework
  • Manage transition service agreement (TSA) performance, escalations, service levels
  • Perform due diligence and current-state assessments of logistics and distribution operations in newly acquired businesses, identifying system, process, data gaps and integration requirements.
  • Establish and oversee change management plans including communication, training, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Conduct risk assessment and mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Finance, IT, and Engineering to design and harmonize systems (ERP/WMS/TMS) and processes.
  • Develop capital requests with supporting business cases to upfit distribution network
  • Develop and execute integration plans covering inventory management, transportation, warehousing, order fulfillment, quote-to-cash and compliance.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for cost savings, process optimization, and network efficiency.
  • Leverage knowledge gained through integration to drive operational excellence and customer value
