About The Position

Red Wine & Blue is a national community of over 600,000 diverse suburban women working together to defeat extremism, one friend at a time (The Washington Post got it right with this profile: (‘Blue’ suburban moms are mobilizing to counter conservatives). Red Wine & Blue’s distributed organizing program is looking for a full-time Distributed Organizer to support and guide grassroots leaders across Texas. In this role, you’ll help volunteers develop and grow their own RWB network groups within our national grassroots movement. You’ll build relationships, get to know passionate individuals, and brainstorm creative ways to support their efforts. Most importantly, you’ll provide the encouragement and hands-on support they need as they take their first—sometimes scary—steps into leadership. If you love connecting with people, empowering new leaders, and being part of a dynamic movement, this role is for you! You are a warm and welcoming connector who thrives on building relationships and supporting grassroots leaders. You love engaging with people from all walks of life, actively listening to their stories, brainstorming ideas, and cheering them on. You’re patient and don’t mind answering questions more than once to ensure clarity. Organization comes naturally to you—you appreciate a good checklist, are comfortable learning new tools, and understand the importance of clear documentation. Most of all, you’re passionate about helping others succeed and creating spaces where people feel valued and supported. This role does not directly supervise any team members, and reports to the Deputy Director of Distributed Organizing. It is a full-time position that can be performed from anywhere in the state of Texas. Applicants who live near a major Texas metroplex (DFW, Austin, San Antonio, Houston) will be given preference. Applicants must currently reside in the state of Texas. We are unable to consider candidates who would need to, or are in the process of relocating, and relocation expenses are not covered. Frequent travel for in-person events within the region/state is required. Occasional travel is required for organization-wide meetings and all-team retreats.
