About The Position

We are looking for a Distinguished Technical Program Manager to lead programs that will build and scale our technology platform to deliver our mission. As a Distinguished Technical Program Manager, you will be the owner and driver of several complex programs, forming a portfolio of efforts to meet the business goals that support the strategic vision. This role will focus on our International markets. About Team: Customer Care Technology The Customer Care Technology team builds best-in-class customer service experiences for hundreds of millions of Walmart customers and customer service agents globally. We are a group of software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts pushing the boundaries of GenAI technology in complex enterprise applications. The Customer Care Technology team is part of the Enterprise Business Systems organization in Walmart Global Tech. Our mission is to help customers save money and live better.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in leading large-scale, cross-functional, and complex initiatives that span many business units and years
  • Strong technical leadership with the ability to design and oversee end-to-end system solutions across software, hardware, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills to align priorities, resolve conflicts, and secure buy-in across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze risks, develop mitigation plans, and drive programs to successful completion under resource and timeline constraints using data and relationships
  • Excellent business communication skills to influence decisions and present clear, data-driven narratives.
  • Experience mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement in processes and engineering practices.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 7 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
  • Option 2: 9 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Project Management.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area and 5 years' experience in product design.

Responsibilities

  • Be on the front line with our internal International Walmart business and technology stakeholders to secure alignment, communicate progress, and resolve conflicts across multiple initiatives.
  • Define and manage large-scale technical programs, coordinating cross-functional teams and dependencies to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end system solution design, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Drive risk identification, mitigation, and issue resolution to maintain program momentum and delivery quality.
  • Mentor team members on technical leadership, program management best practices, and effective communication.
  • Analyze data to inform decisions, optimize resource allocation, and accelerate program timelines.
