The Distinguished Partners Coordinator, under general supervision, provides outreach and relational engagement with Distinguished High School and College Partners, Dallas County Promise and Tarleton Today Programs. Collaborate with multiple departments across campus to share pathways to Tarleton State. Travel to demonstrate opportunities and access in various venues, both on and off campus. Work hours are Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PM or as work requirements indicate. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience in public relations, career counseling, marketing, admissions, or recruitment. Including one year of related supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Ability to be a self-starter, multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop ongoing relationships with high schools, community colleges, and others to increase student matriculation to Tarleton State University.
  • Become the primary resource for Distinguished Partners, Dallas County Promise, and the Tarleton Today Program.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and constituents to bring visitors to campus.
  • Research best practices and develop recruitment methods through programing, social media, publications, and communications.
