The Darden School of Business has an opportunity for a part-time (15 hours a week) Distance Learning Support Technician to join its team in Charlottesville, VA. This position provides technical support for our live online learning programs including our professional degree program’s distance learning classes. This is an in-person position based in Charlottesville, VA, supporting evening classes with a typical schedule of 5:00–9:00 p.m. Please note this is part-time hourly wage position and is not eligible for benefits. Responsibilities Include: Web Conferencing: Set up equipment and tests for primary and backup studios. Record and post on-line classes to the learning management system. Online class support includes live troubleshooting for remote students and faculty instructor and training to students between class sessions. Audio/Video Production: Work in-studio with staff and faculty to produce asynchronous content, including course materials and tutorials. Edit studio recordings using Adobe Creative Suite. IT Support: Continually monitor and update studio and technician hardware and software. Gather valuable feedback from our diverse clientele to see how technological improvements can offer solutions to current challenges. This is a wage position which is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1500 hours of work in a year.
