About The Position

The Disputes Operations & Strategy role will oversee daily operations and execute our overall strategy for managing dispute-related workflows and servicing. This position plays a critical role in achieving the company's vision by providing streamlined, customer-focused solutions aimed at enhancing disputes operations. You will collaborate with diverse teams to handle disputes intake, investigations, chargebacks, and their resolution across various offerings. The role demands a proactive approach to identify improvements in processes and address challenges effectively.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an operations leader in the disputes or fraud sector.
  • Proven track record in managing large back office operations and BPO vendors.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices related to fraud and disputes lifecycle, along with network rules and chargeback processes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly Regulation E and Regulation Z.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and urgent requests effectively.
  • Adopt an act-like-an-owner mentality with a bias toward taking action.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in managing sensitive information.
  • Self-motivated analytical thinker with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily back office operations for disputes workflows across debit and card products.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for reviewing and resolving escalations requiring advanced investigations.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and build business cases to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop quick workarounds while driving permanent solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand upcoming product launches and assess potential impacts on dispute processing.
  • Execute operational strategy initiatives and optimize case management systems.
  • Communicate plans, progress, and decisions to internal stakeholders and executives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
