About The Position

Under general supervision and following established procedures, the Display Installation & Design Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the structural designers in the development of package and display design concepts for customers. Responsible for delivery and display set up and working with team members to meet the customer needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills in both oral and written format.
  • Approachable and supportive when working with others.
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers, and the ability to convey a positive and professional image of service and support to employees at all levels of responsibility in the company.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to interpret drawings (customer specifications) and to understand a variety of basic corrugated container designs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, E-mail, Publisher and Excel) spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of computer software such as CAD System Design.
  • Accuracy in work and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Structural Designer to coordinate design concepts and fabricate samples of design concepts; i.e. containers, interior packaging, and displays. This includes interfacing with the prepress team on creation of artwork for mockups.
  • Work with Structural Designer to learn and maintain an average to above average level of knowledge with Artios Software.
  • Complete structural projects, as assigned, on-time and accurately, demonstrating the ability to work independently and seek assistance from structural design staff as needed.
  • Responsible to ensure store sets and/or Plan-O-Gram (POG) sets are complete, accurate and timely. Works closely with Design to assure clear understanding for POG sets.
  • Interfaces as needed with customer to assist with requests in a professional manner.
  • Drive company provided an/or personal vehicle.
  • Maintains vehicle log according to state and federal regulations.
  • Inspects Van and equipment for irregularities and supplies such as tires, brakes, gas, oil, water etc. Documents and reports any service, repair or defects.
  • Ensures effective and timely load and delivery routing utilizing knowledge of Twin Cities metropolitan area.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from van, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Assists in maintaining clean and orderly staging area, finished goods area, and warehouse.
  • Assists in managing all Project Set-up Forms (PSF’s) for accuracy and communicates to Customer and internal teams.
