About The Position

The Mountain Operations Dispatcher is an integral member of our team, coordinating communications, emergency response, and guest requests to ensure a seamless and safe on-mountain experience. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This part-time winter position primarily covers Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the opportunity for additional on-call shifts as needed. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using two-way radios and communication systems.
  • Ability to work in high-stress situations and make quick decisions.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use communication equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dispatch, emergency response, or customer service experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of skiing and snowboarding terminology and resort operations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and facilitate two-way radio communications between Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, Lift Maintenance, and other resort staff.
  • Relay important information, updates, and emergency announcements to the relevant departments and guests.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with resort employees to ensure smooth operations.
  • Act as a point of contact for emergency situations and coordinate the response of Ski Patrol, Lift Maintenance, and other relevant teams.
  • Dispatch Ski Patrol to accidents, injuries, and other incidents at the resort.
  • Dispatch Lift Maintenance to mechanical and electrical problems with lifts.
  • Assist guests in need by coordinating services such as transportation and medical attention.
  • Field guest inquiries and provide information about resort services, events, etc.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of communications, incidents, and responses.
  • Assist in compiling incident reports.
  • Collaborate closely with ski patrol, guest services, lift operations and maintenance, and other resort departments to ensure a cohesive operation.
