About The Position

The Mountain Operations Dispatcher is an integral member of our team, coordinating communications, emergency response, and guest requests to ensure a seamless and safe on-mountain experience. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This part-time winter position primarily covers Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the opportunity for additional on-call shifts as needed. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or relevant certifications preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using two-way radios and communication systems.
Ability to work in high-stress situations and make quick decisions.
Ability to sit for extended periods and use communication equipment.

Nice To Haves

Previous dispatch, emergency response, or customer service experience is a plus.
Knowledge of skiing and snowboarding terminology and resort operations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Monitor and facilitate two-way radio communications between Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, Lift Maintenance, and other resort staff.
Relay important information, updates, and emergency announcements to the relevant departments and guests.
Maintain clear and professional communication with resort employees to ensure smooth operations.
Act as a point of contact for emergency situations and coordinate the response of Ski Patrol, Lift Maintenance, and other relevant teams.
Dispatch Ski Patrol to accidents, injuries, and other incidents at the resort.
Dispatch Lift Maintenance to mechanical and electrical problems with lifts.
Assist guests in need by coordinating services such as transportation and medical attention.
Field guest inquiries and provide information about resort services, events, etc.
Maintain accurate logs and records of communications, incidents, and responses.
Assist in compiling incident reports.
Collaborate closely with ski patrol, guest services, lift operations and maintenance, and other resort departments to ensure a cohesive operation.
