About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for individuals who have a passion for career growth and who share our #1 value: SAFETY. We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our team at our East Pasco Hauling station. In this position, you will be responsible for taking calls from customers and dispatching drivers throughout the day. This is a fast‑paced role that requires strong computer skills, excellent communication, the ability to multitask, and work effectively under pressure. Requirements

2 years of dispatcher experience in a transportation or logistics environment preferred
Strong typing skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes
Become proficient in proprietary operational systems
Analyze and resolve customer inquiries related to missed pick‑ups, misplaced containers, and property damage
Assist drivers when pickup or delivery questions arise prior to service
Schedule and dispatch work to various employees and departments throughout the day
Demonstrate effective use of software applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Deliver services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill
Interact with customers daily in a high‑call‑volume environment
Support the solicitation of new or additional services
Thrive in a fast‑paced, cooperative team environment
