General Summary Under supervision, this position is responsible for assisting with coordinating labor for all construction projects to ensure project appropriate resources are allocated.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 0 - 2 years dispatch experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in various computer software programs (excel, word, project, Heavy Job, The Dispatcher)
  • Knowledge of Construction Jobs, equipment and needs
  • Ability to abide by Granite’s Code of Conduct on a daily basis.
  • A team player.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating project resource needs with the General Superintendent and Project Managers to ensure project schedule goals are met.
  • Communicate detailed information such as time and specific locations to dispatch resources to jobs in the field to ensure appropriate resources are allocated.
  • Communicate dispatch to Superintendents so that they can monitor daily work.
  • Coordinate dispatch requests with Union Partners
  • Perform pre-employment tasks including the coordination of fit-for-duty tests, pre-employment drug tests.
  • Coordinate new and re-hire orientations and perform on-boarding tasks in the Workday HR system.
  • Coordinate with Projects and Union Apprenticeship programs to meet OJT goals and conduct good-faith efforts.
