Under general supervision coordinates components and merchandise for delivery or pickup, schedules and assigns deliveries, and maintains records related to delivery and customer receipt. Schedule, coordinate, and dispatch drivers for daily deliveries and pickups across multiple locations and job sites Adjust schedules proactively based on changes in orders, job site readiness, weather conditions, or equipment availability. Optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency, reduce fuel costs, and maximize driver productivity. Communicates delivery ETAs, changes, or delays clearly and professionally and promptly, while also handling customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in the same manner. Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery inquiries from customers, drivers, sales teams, and yard staff. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to identify and resolve routing, staffing, or scheduling issues. Invoices all orders shipped in accordance with what is requested, additionally coordinates and assigns flow of orders to be produced accordingly. Collaborate with the transportation team to identify areas for improvement and implement solution Work closely with yard and warehouse teams to ensure materials are pulled, staged, and loaded correctly. Provide guidance and updates to drivers throughout the day regarding changes, priority orders, or special delivery instructions while also ensuring drivers have all necessary paperwork, load details, and customer notes before departing. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers. Attends periodic safety meetings as required. May recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned.
