About The Position

Hatch Concrete is seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatch Scheduler & Inside Sales Coordinator to manage the daily scheduling of ready-mix concrete trucks and aggregate haul trucks while supporting inside sales efforts. This role is critical to ensuring efficient operations, on-time deliveries, and strong customer communication. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and communicates effectively with drivers, customers, batching operations, and the sales team.

Requirements

  • Basic computer proficiency (dispatch systems, spreadsheets, email)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, trucking, logistics, or ready-mix concrete (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate daily dispatch of: Ready-mix concrete trucks Aggregate haul trucks (end dumps, belly dumps, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Batch Man to align production capacity with delivery schedules
  • Optimize truck utilization, routes, and timing to maximize efficiency
  • Adjust schedules in real-time due to weather, jobsite conditions, or operational changes
  • Communicate dispatch details clearly to drivers and field personnel
  • Coordinate closely with: Batch plant personnel Drivers and trucking operations Quality Control (as needed for mix timing and requirements)
  • Monitor job progress and proactively address delays or conflicts
  • Ensure accurate load tracking and delivery documentation
  • Assist in maintaining proper workflow between plant, dispatch, and field
  • Serve as a point of contact for incoming customer inquiries
  • Assist customers with: Order placement Scheduling pours and deliveries Product availability and recommendations
  • Work directly with the Sales Manager to: Follow up on leads Support quoting and order entry Maintain customer relationships Identify opportunities to upsell services (pumping, specialty mixes, etc.)
  • Provide exceptional, professional communication with customers
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts or service issues quickly and effectively
  • Keep customers informed of delivery timing and any changes
  • Enter and manage orders in dispatch/batching software (MPAQ or equivalent)
  • Maintain accurate records of loads, deliveries, and schedules
  • Assist with reporting on daily production and delivery metrics
