This position performs essential Supply Chain functions as it relates to the transporting of supplies, equipment, written communications and other vital patient care related items. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Transports supplies, parcels, monies, lab samples and written communication on Medical Center campus.
  • Occasionally transport Haz Mat items.
  • Maintains integrity of items for delivery. Room temperature refrigerated or frozen.
  • Maintains predetermined PAR levels of equipment on inpatient units
  • Sorts materials carefully and accurately.
  • Sorts and delivers incoming US Postal Service mail.
  • Deliver and maintain crash cart drawers within the Medical Center.
  • In critical situations, will be responsible for replenishing crash cart drawers.
  • Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse.
  • Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff.
  • Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.
