About The Position

Within Disney Entertainment Television (DET), The Strategy & Business Operations team serves as a trusted advisor to television executives and key stakeholders throughout The Walt Disney Company. The team is responsible for strategic planning and operational execution, driving clarity, alignment, and impact across the television portfolio. Operating at the intersection of content, business, and technology, the team analyzes title-level performance / economics, shapes long-term slate strategy, and supports complex deal negotiations. Additional areas of focus include evaluating emerging opportunities in areas like Generative AI, micro-dramas, and user-generated content. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that influence strategic decision-making across DET. The intern will help support tactical initiatives and take ownership of a broader, strategic research project over the course of the internship. The approximate dates of this internship are May / June 2026 to August 2026.

Requirements

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and presenting findings
  • Experience with using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Airtable, and emerging AI tools (prompting, refining, etc.), leveraging technology to optimize workflows, enhance reporting, and support innovation initiatives
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship​
  • Be at least 18 years of age​
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization​
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • The approximate dates of this internship are May / June 2026 through August 2026
  • Fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, California area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in media and entertainment
  • MBA with first year of coursework completed
  • Major or previous coursework in business, finance, statistics, mathematics, or another quantitative field ( preferred )

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data ( operational, viewership / ratings, financial, etc. ) and extract key insights
  • Develop concise summaries and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
  • Evaluate current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement - particularly with the use of emerging technology like AI
  • Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends in media and entertainment
